4RoadService Adds Interstate Exit Search for Roadside Assistance

4RoadService has added an interstate exit search that helps truck drivers locate nearby towing, repair, tire, and roadside services after a breakdown.

Truck drivers dealing with a breakdown on an unfamiliar route can now search for nearby roadside assistance using an interstate and exit number through 4RoadService.

The company announced the new search option on September 23, allowing users to enter information such as “I-87, Exit 16” instead of identifying a city and state. The feature is available through the 4RoadService website and its mobile app.

Roadside Help Can Be Searched by Exit Number

The new option was designed for situations where someone knows which highway they are traveling on but may not know the nearest town or their exact location. An interstate and exit number can now be entered directly into the platform’s search bar to find services in the surrounding area.

“Drivers rarely know their exact coordinates when they break down, but they almost always remember the last exit sign they passed,” 4RoadService founder Brian Telford said in the announcement.

Search results can include providers offering heavy-duty towing, truck and trailer repair, tire service and reefer repair. The platform can also return nearby truck stops and parking locations.

The exit-based search is available to individual drivers, owner-operators and fleet dispatchers, giving someone away from the vehicle another way to locate assistance using information the driver can provide from the road.

Search Covers 4RoadService’s U.S. and Canadian Directory

4RoadService said the feature works across its directory of more than 30,000 mobile repair, towing, tire, and roadside service providers in the United States and Canada.

The company had previously allowed users to search its directory for nearby services, while the latest update adds the interstate-and-exit format as another way to establish the search area. That can be useful when a breakdown occurs between towns or when the nearest municipality is not immediately clear from the roadway.

The search-by-exit feature is now live on 4RoadService.com and through the 4RoadService mobile app for iOS and Android.
